SINSW identified that the DoE Arts Unit and Sport Unit shared common educational pedagogy but were not maximising learning or curriculum outcomes.

SARM were engaged to prepare a comprehensive SFP that would be used as a reference to establishing an amalgamated Arts & Sports Unit and to provide a framework to test against potential sites that may be offered to accommodate the unit.

Intensive collaborative workshops were undertaken with the various departments to ascertain requirements and desires, then compared to an exhaustive audit on existing facilities. Deficiencies, constraints and opportunities were identified and consolidated in the report for capital works to use in their acquisition of a suitable site.
